Impressive how well the FTSE 100 has held up this year. Currently on track to end the year flat, while the Nasdaq is at the other extreme at -33% in 2022 thus far.

Now do 22 years history of FTSE 100… It’s about flat. Better if you include dividends and re-invest them, but overall FTSE 100 has been a dog.
